Two of my films, ‘Uisce Beatha’ and ‘Nietzsche No. 5′ will be screening in competition at the Healdsburg International Short Film Festival.
Healdsburg International Short Film Festival
The festival will take place in Healdsburg, California, from September 21-23rd, and the judges include musician Tom Waits and actor Ed Begley Jr.
I will be the first filmmaker to have had two films shown in the festival, and the kind folks at the festival have posted an article about it here.
My short film ‘Uisce Beatha’ has won the first runner-up award at
the Ford 8 Minutes Short Film Competition, held in Fota House,
near Cobh, Co. Cork.
My short film ‘Uisce Beatha’ has been selected as a finalist for the Titanic Centenary / Ford ’8 Minutes’ competition.
The final will be held in Fota House, Cobh, Co. Cork, on the 9th of June, where the 12 shortlisted films will be shown.
Tickets are be available online at www.tickets.ie, the Titanic 100 Offices in Cobh, and The Irish Examiner head office in Cork City.
My short films ‘Rint‘ and ‘Mutt’ are going to be screened at this year’s
Corona Fastnet Short Film Festival, on the 24th – 27th of May.

Last year our film ‘Nietzsche No. 5‘ won the award for Best Comedy at the festival.

Here’s a video I shot for the band Ladydoll, in the Quad in Cork City.
They had asked me to film the launch of their album, “The Knife -
Thrower And His Wife”. Using the song “Good Times”, I cut together
footage of the band’s performance from the night. It’s not an official
video, but was my first chance to try editing a band’s live show.
Ladydoll have since gone on to win the Hot Press/Jack Daniels
“JD Set” competition. The album is amazing and they’re going to be huge…
