My short film ‘Uisce Beatha’ will screen at the ‘Detours en Cinecourt’ festival in Saint-Geniès-Bellevue, Toulouse, France in June.

The film was subtitled into French for the purposes of the festival by Anne Reidy.

The festival runs from the 10-15 of June, and more information can be found on the festival website.

Three of my short films, ‘Uisce Beatha’, ‘Rint’ and ‘Nietzsche No. 5′ have been selected to screen at the upcoming Lewiston-Auburn Film Festival in Maine, USA.

My films have also been nominated for three awards:

1. ‘Uisce Beatha’  for Best Short Film
2. Shaun O’ Connor for Best Director (‘Uisce Beatha’)
3. ‘Rint’ for the People’s Choice Award.

I will also be attending the festival myself and will be doing a Q&A following the screenings of my short films.

Here are some screenshots from my upcoming short film ‘Rest My Bones’, which I wrote and directed.

 

It was filmed in October 2012, in various locations around Cork and produced with the kind financial assistance of the Cork City Council Arts Department.

The film stars, among others, Frank Prendergast, James Browne, Charlie Ruxton and Rupert Stutchbury. We are currently submitting it to various festivals and will have a premiere screening of it in Cork in April.

My short film ‘Uisce Beatha’ has won the Third Place Festival Award at the Chicago Irish Film Festival.

Three of my short films, ‘Rint’, ‘Mutt’ and ‘Uisce Beatha’ have been selected to screen at this year’s Chicago Irish Film Festival, March 1-6.

‘Rint’ and ‘Mutt’ will screen in the shorts programmes 1 and 2 respectively, while ‘Uisce Beatha’ will screen with the feature  film ‘Men at Lunch’.

My short film ‘Uisce Beatha’ has been selected to screen in competition at
the 2012 Waterford Film Festival.

The festival takes place from 9-12th November, and tickets and more information can be found here.

Here are some photos from the production of the upcoming short film ‘Rest My Bones’,
which was written and directed by myself. Filming took place over four days and
five locations in Cork city and county.
